In 1978, when Frank Uhrenholt founded the company and created the ship logo, he simply folded a paper ship from a newspaper page and painting the vessel red and white. He was inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, The Steadfast Tin Soldier, who went to conquer the world.
The ship logo and the Uhrenholt name is well known and recognised all over the world.
To visualise the modern, international food company that Uhrenholt has become, and the merger with Emborg Foods A/S, a new logo has been developed from 2009.
The ship has been simplified and is mirrored as in the water. The typography used for the Uhrenholt name and the colour dark blue, has been developed to support and communicate the future platform of the company as an international food company.
