Human Rights
Uhrenholt does not accept child labour or forced labour of any kind. Suppliers need to guarantee that products delivered are not the result of child labour or forced labour in conflict with international conventions.
Pay and working hours
Uhrenholt follows national rules concerning pay and working hours, including the rules for vacation and days off due to illness. It is expected that the suppliers of Uhrenholt pay salaries and suitable benefits and that the working hours are regulated in accordance with national rules or industry standards.
Workplace Health and Safety
Safe work places
All employees at Uhrenholt are ensured safe and fitting work places according to national safety standards, including sufficient ventilation and light, suitable work temperatures, alcohol- and smoking policies. Uhrenholt expects that suppliers have similar policies to ensure safe work environments for their employees.
Protective Equipment and Training
It is expected that all suppliers provide employees with sufficient protective clothing (work clothes, safety shoes when needed) and training, so the employees can perform their work safely and that the employees are protected from technical equipment, which are unhealthy, toxic or harmful.
Environmental Health and Safety
Responsibility for the environment is a moral obligation for any commercial company. Protection of natural resources including the biodiversity on land and in water will always be a central theme for Uhrenholt when we evaluate our areas of business. Uhrenholt follows the at any time applicable environmental laws. It is expected that all suppliers likewise as a minimum follow environmental laws for the country in which the company is situated. Focus is upon waste water, water usage, energy, and air pollution.
